WELDING INSPECTOR

GENERAL        
This course includes theoretical and practical classes for Welding Inspection/ Welding Supervision of Refinery Piping, Cross Country Pipeline Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels Structural and related activities. Training is provided for perfect application of quality welding as per international welding standards codes and specifications. After successful completion of this course, candidates are capable in selection of Electrodes, Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification, Qualification of Procedures, Qualification of Welders, Weld Visual Inspection, Interpretation of NDT, Documentation and all activities related to welding. All the candidates of our previous batches proved that BSc, BA and even B Com graduates could develop their career in the technical fields to take independent responsibilities as Welding Inspector/ Welding Supervisors. They could later take charge as QAQC Inspectors or QAQC Supervisors in major construction sites.

Duration of course is one months, which includes the following chapters

Welding Electrodes and filler wires
Selection of Welding Electrodes suitable for Base metal

Classification of Welding Procedures in accordance with base metals
Preparation of Welding Procedure Specifications ( WPS)
Welding Procedure Qualification
Welder Qualification
Weld Visual Inspection
Radiographic Inspection of Production Weld Joints
Post Weld Heat Treatment
Corrosion Engineering(NACE)
Welding Standards and codes
Documentation

EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION      
Final examination is conducted after total course of study and certification is issued by Induscan Petroleum Institute  

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION
Diploma in Mech. Engg or BSc Graduation is the basic qualification required for admission. Course is also offered for graduates with BA or BCom.

REGISTRATION (Welding Inspector)             
Properly filled application form along with a copy of Certificate shall be submitted either in person or through email. Pay Rupees 1000/- (Rupees thousand only) (cash or  Demand Draft from any bank favoring “ Induscan Petroleum Institute, payable at Nilambur). Candidates who have not obtained the final certificate shall attach the “course completed certificate” from their college.

FEE INSTALLMENTS
Fee shall be paid in two instalments as specified below.
First instalment at the time joining the class
Second instalment on next month

CLASS TIMING (Welding Inspector)            
Theory 9-00 AM to 2-00 PM,
Practical 3-00 Pm to 5 PM
6 Day week, Sunday holiday

HOSTEL FACILITY
Hostel is available with cooking facility. Prior registration is required for hostel facility.

PLACEMENT
Placement is guaranteed for minimum 25% candidate of each batch and placement assistance for others,
